SANBORN, N.Y. - The Lakers hit the road to face Division II Niagara County Community College on the Thunderwolves home court Thursday night. The Lakers who moved to 4-4 with a loss struggled to find their shot against a talented Thunderwolves squad.
Freshman Ciana Galvin (Newark, N.Y./Newark) was the top scorer for the Lakers, contributing 10 points, shooting 5 for 12 in the game, and grabbing 2 rebounds. Teammate Barbara Arsenault (Rochester, N.Y./Greece Athena) added 6 points and 4 rebounds. Arsenault was efficient in her opportunities, knocking down 3 of her 5 shots.
Sophomore Izzy Robson (Newark, N.Y./Newark) added 3 points, 2 assists, and 2 rebounds to her total while Leah Williams (Olean, N.Y./Olean) and Lexi Swarthout (Wayne, N.Y./Hammondsport) added 4 and 2 points respectively. Sophomore Quynn Tallman (Canandaigua, N.Y./Canandaigua) rounded out the scoring, adding 2 points and pulling down 3 rebounds in the game.
The Lakers will look to move past the loss and focus on a road trip to SUNY Jefferson Community College this Saturday, December 2nd at 1 PM on the Cannoneers home court.
