SANBORN - It was a tough road trip for the Jamestown Community College baseball team, dropping a pair of road games at Niagara County Community College.

Game 1: Jamestown Community College 2 - Niagara County Community College 9

With runners on second and third, redshirt-freshman Yordangel Gonzalez (Miami, FL/Miami Jackson Senior HS) singled on a ground ball to center field, driving in designated hitter Nick Rini (Powhatan, VA/Knock HS) and third baseman Roberto Aracena (Miami, FL/Citi Christian Academy).

The Thunderwolves answered with a run in the second inning and took the lead in the third inning with a pair of runs scored. NCCC added to their lead in the fifth inning, scoring four runs to put the game out of reach.

Gonzalez led the offense, going 2-for-3 at the plate with a double and two rbis.

Redshirt-freshman Bryce Jackson (Jamestown, NY/Jamestown HS) earned the loss on the mound, giving up three earned runs and striking out six batters. Aracena came in for relief for an inning, striking out three batters. Sophomore pitcher David Talkington (Allegany, PA/Port Allegany HS) finished the game with one inning of work, giving up two hits and striking out one batter.
