BATAVIA, NY… The Genesee women's basketball team suffered a 90-72 loss on Monday night to the unbeaten and #13 Niagara County Community College Thunderwolves. In a game that stayed close throughout the first three quarters, Niagara pulled away in the fourth quarter to secure the victory.

TaLia Burgess had a game-high 28 points to lead the Cougars offense. Chevaneese Millington scored 15 points on her birthday off the Genesee bench. Grace McComb scored 16 points for Genesee.

Genesee (14-7, 2-2) travel to Jamestown Community College on Wednesday evening for a Western New York Athletic Conference contest with tip-off scheduled for 5:30pm.
