Rochester, NY - Monroe Softball returned after a year-long hiatus, earning a split with Region III foe Niagara County Community College, dropping game one 15-6 before bouncing back in game two with an 18-9 victory. Both squads return tomorrow at Niagara to complete their four-game series. First pitch is set for 2pm.
Alexia Wheeler led the offense for the tribunes finishing the day 6-8 with six RBI, Claudia Hardie finished 5-9, while Amber Gerringer added three hits and four RBIs on the day.
McKenzie O'Keefe led Tribune pitching, earning the victory in game two, tossing five innings, striking out five, while allowing no earned runs.
