Panthers Still Looking For First Win

The Tompkins Cortland Community College volleyball team is still looking for its first win of the year after going 0-3 in Region III action Saturday. The Panthers lost in straight sets to Erie Community College, Jamestown Community College, and Niagara County Community College. Tompkins Cortland is now 0-15 on the season.

The Panthers lost to Erie 25-7, 25-6, and 25-13. The losses to Niagara were by scores of 25-9, 25-17, and 25-18. Jamestown beat the Panthers 25-14, 25-6, and 25-7.

Ashley Smith (Lansing H.S./Lansing) led the team with 11 kills. Amanda Green (Lansing H.S./Lansing) had nine assists, three digs, and three aces. Madison Johnstone (Liberty H.S./Liberty) had nine digs, three kills, and two blocks.

The Panthers return home Wednesday to host Finger Lakes Community College in a Mid-State Athletic Conference showdown.
