Niagara County Community College picked up its 22nd consecutive victory following a sweep of host Onondaga CC in Region III action Thursday night. NCCC is now 26-4 overall and 12-0 in regional play.
Niagara CCC 6, Onondaga CC 2
Freshman Christian Young moved to 4-0 on the year after striking out eight in six innings of work. Sophomore Charles Edwards belted two home runs and finished with three home runs, while sophomores Brett Helmbrecht abnd Michael Colosi along with freshmen Zarley Cina and Joe Milkowski each had two hits.
Niagara CCC 14, Onondaga CC 4
Sophomore Alex Kubera improved to 4-0 after throwing 5 2/3 innings and striking out four. Helmbrecht and Colosi had two hits and three RBIs apiece, while freshman James Brnik notched two hits and two RBIs.
Next up for the T-Wolves is a double dip at Corning CC. First pitch will be thrown at 1 p.m. Saturday.
