Student-athletes honored for academic success

Both Region III and the Western New York Athletic Conference recently honored student-athletes for their academic success in the classroom. To be named Academic All-Region, a student-athlete must have completed a minimum of 24 credit hours at a 3.5 GPA or better. To be named Academic All-Conference, a student-athlete must have completed a minimum of 24 credit hours at a 3.3 GPA or better.

Academic All-Region recipients from NCCC included: Casey Gruarin (baseball), Melanie Sweeney (softball), Trace Gillis (baseball), Keegan Ernest (baseball), Alyssa Diez (women's soccer), Tyler Van Buren (men's soccer), Yohn Zapata-Baez (baseball), Brayden Skobjak (men's soccer), Justin Beyer (baseball), Vincent Chiarenza (baseball), Richard O'Connell (golf) and Ashley Clack (women's soccer).
