Niagara County Community College posted a pair of lopsided Region III wins against visiting SUNY Broome on Tuesday. The Thunderwolves, ranked No. 3 in the latest NJCAA Div. III poll, improved to 15-2 overall and 3-0 in regional play.

Sophomore right-hander Justin Beyer allowed just two hits and struck out seven in five innings of work to get the win in game one. Classmate Noah Thompson had a double and three RBIs, while freshman Bryan Rivera had two hits and two RBIs and second-year shortstop Jake Cavana added a two-run single.

Sophomore righty Jacob Lewis threw a no-hitter with eight Ks in the nightcap. Sophomore Matt Cross finished 3-for-4 with three RBIs, while freshman Vincent Chiarenza was 2-for-3 with three RBIs. Sophomore captain Casey Gruarin scored three runs and had an RBI.
Next up for NCCC is a road trip to Genesee Community College. First pitch of Saturday's doubleheader is set for 1 p.m.
