Niagara County Community College pitched a pair of shutouts as it swept Region III opponent Tompkins-Cortland Community College at Washuta Park on Thursday afternoon. The nationally-ranked Thunderwolves improved to 21-7 overall and 6-2 in Western Division play.

Sophomore pitcher Kyle Menaker improved to 4-1 on the year as he tossed five innings of one-hit ball. The righty also had 11 Ks. Sophomore Vincent Cenname and freshman Vincent Stutz each ripped a home run and scored twice, while freshman Carter Arbuthnot went 2-for-3 with a home run and two RBIs. Freshman Andrew Fairbrother chipped in with a solo homer.

Freshman Kyle Finn gave up just one hit and struck out seven in four innings of work. At the dish, freshman Zach Evans finished 3-for-4 with a home run and four RBIs, Cenname had a two-run homer and scored twice, freshman Trent Wasserman clubbed a two-run home run and scored three times and classmate Howie Stuckey was 2-for-3 with two RBIs.
