SUNY Niagara finishes off season sweep of TC3

SUNY Niagara completed a four-game season sweep of Tompkins-Cortland Community College on Thursday afternoon. The Thunderwolves, ranked No. 6 in the latest NJCAA Div. III poll, improved to 35-7 overall and 19-1 in regional play. SUNY Niagara travels to rival Finger Lakes Community College for a key doubleheader at Noon Sunday. 

SUNY Niagara 11, Tompkins-Cortland CC 0 (5 inn.)

Freshman Aidan Paul improved to 5-1 on the season as he allowed just one hit and struck out eight in five innings of work. At the dish, sophomore Brett Johnson had two doubles and two RBIs, freshman Gavyn Boyle had a triple and double, sophomore Steven Merkel ripped a 2-run double and freshman Nigel Sebastianelli was 2-for-3 with two runs scored. 

SUNY Niagara 17, Tompins-Cortland CC 0 (5 inn.)

Freshman Sean Duffy is now 3-1 on the year as he allowed just two hits and struck out four in four innings on the bump. At the plate, Sebastianelli and freshman Evan Kohr each went 2-for-4 with three RBIs, sophomore Joshua Milleville clubbed a three-run triple, freshman Keygan Miksa finished 4-for-4 with two RBIs and three runs scored, Merkel was 2-for-3 with two runs scored and freshman Adrian Salas went 1-for-2 with an RBI and two runs scored while reaching base four times.
