NCCC takes 2nd at Herkimer Invite

Niagara County Community College finished as runner-up at Friday's Herkimer College Invitational, which was played at Mohawk Valley Country Club. The Thunderwolves finished with 320 total strokes - two back of champion SUNY Adirondack. Sunday's event hosted by Jefferson CC was cancelled due to snow in the area.

Freshman Ben Kolbe led the Thunderwolves with a four-over par 76, which was good for a third-place tie. Classmate Hogan Lang was tied for ninth after firing a 79. Rounding out the top five for NCCC were sophomores Vinny Falvo (82), Hunter Harris (83) and Brian Ailinger (83).

Next up for the T-Wolves is a trio of local events at Chautauqua Golf Club, Willowbrook Golf Course and Batavia Country Club.
