NCCC finishes 6th at NJCAA tourney

Niagara County Community College finished sixth overall at this past week's NJCAA Division III Championships held at Chautauqua Golf Club's Lake Course. The Thunderwolves had a four-day total of 1,319 strokes (327-332-330-330). Georgia Military College (1,235 strokes) won the title by one stroke over Sandhills Community College.

Individually, freshman Carl Graff led the way with 322 total strokes (84-78-80-80) - good enough to finish in a tie for 26th place. Sophomore Hogan Lang was 41st after firing rounds of 78, 88, 80 and 81 to finish at 327. Classmate Ben Kolbe shot a 335 (91-82-82-80) to take 51st place. Freshman Murphy Lang shot rounds of 81, 85, 88 and 90 for a 344, finishing in a tie for 63rd. Sophomore Rich O'Connell ended up tied for 67th after rounds of 84-87-88-89 (348).
