Golf wraps up regular season with another win

Niagara County Community College finished up its regular-season schedule with a win at Saturday's annual Herkimer College Invitational hosted by Mohawk Valley Country Club. NCCC had 308 total strokes on its way to a sixth team victory.

NCCC sophomore Sean Barrett fired an even-par 72 to finish in second place. Barrett led Region III in scoring throughout the regular season, averaging a 73.67.

Fellow second-year golfer Leo Camilloni carded a 73 to take third at Herkimer. He averaged a 76.11 in the regular season.

Sophomore Zac Golibersuch added a 78 in the win. He finished with an average of 77.67 in the regular season.

On the women's side, sophomore McCarthy Lang was runner-up with a 98. She led the region in scoring with a 92.10 stroke average.

During the regular season, the T-Wolves averaged 310.90 strokes, which is the lowest team scoring average in Region III in at least a decade.

NCCC returns to action on May 15-16 for the annual Region III Championships, which are being held at Glen Oak Golf Club.
