Elmange Watson's buzzer-beating layin lifted Cuyahoga Community College past host Niagara County Community College, 78-76, in non-conference action Friday night. NCCC drops to 3-1 overall.
Freshman guard Donel Cathcart again led the Thunderwolves in scoring, netting a game-high 21 points, including a game-tying jumper with 22 seconds remaining. Freshman forward William Wilson added 12 points and seven boards off the bench, while sophomore center Kofi Mills scored 12 points.
The Thunderwolves next hit the hardwood at 2 p.m. Sunday when they travel to Niagara (Ont.) College.
