Niagara County Community College held on for a narrow 96-95 Western New York Athletic Conference win against rival Erie CC on Wednesday night. The Thunderwolves, ranked No. 6 in the latest NJCAA Div. II poll, improved to 18-2 overall and 5-0 in the conference.
Sophomore Jamal Pollydore netted a team-high 28 points on 11-of-14 shooting to lead NCCC. Pollydore canned six 3-pointers. Freshman Donel Cathcart recorded 16 points, five rebounds and four assists. Sophomore William Wilson had 10 points and nine rebounds.
Next up for the T-Wolves is a pair of non-conference games in the New York City area this upcoming weekend.
