NCCC runs past Lakers in home opener

Niagara County Community College shot 52 percent from the field en route to an 88-73 non-conference win against visiting Finger Lakes CC on Tuesday night. The Thunderwolves are now 3-0 on the season.

Freshman LaTerrance Reed netted a team-high 20 points in just 18 minutes of action. The combo guard shot 8-for-8 from the field, including 4-for-4 from the 3-point line. Sophomore Jamal Pollydore scored 15 points, while classmate Tahleek Weekes came off the bench to net 10 points.

Next up for NCCC is a home date with Cuyahoga CC. Tip is set for 7:30 p.m. Friday.
