NCCC comes back to beat Genesee

Niagara County Community College erased a 15-point second-half deficit on its way to a 60-57 comeback victory over host Genesee CC in Western New York Athletic Conference play Saturday afternoon. NCCC, winners of 12 straight games and ranked No. 10 in the latest NJCAA Div. II poll, improved to 15-2 overall and 2-0 in conference play.

Sophomore guard Jamal Pollydore netted 14 of his team-high 19 points in the second half to lead the rally. Classmate William Wilson came off the bench to contribute 12 points and five rebounds, while second-year wing Cory Reeves had 11 points.

Next up for the Thunderwolves is a road tilt at Jamestown CC. Tip is set for 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
