Niagara County Community ran its winning streak to six games following a pair of wins at this past weekend's Genesee CC Cougar Classic. The Thunderwolves, ranked No. 14 in the latest NJCAA Div. II poll, are now 9-2 overall. Next up is the third annual Thunderwolves Classic. The host T-Wolves will face off against the Isaiah Christopher Academy at 8 p.m. Friday.
Niagara CCC 93, St. John Fisher JV 52
Sophomore guard Jamal Pollydore hit four 3-pointers on his way to 16 points in the win. NCCC out-scored the Cardinals 53-22 after intermission. Also for the T-Wolves, sophomore guard Tahleek Weekes had 14 points off the bench and sophomore forward Fausto Pichardo notched 10 points and seven rebounds.
Niagara CCC 91, CC of Rhode Island 81
Pollydore again led the way with 20 points and eight boards. Freshman guard Donel Cathcart finished with 16 points and six rebounds, Pichardo added 13 points and seven rebounds and classmate Justin Alleyne-Washington added 12 points.
