Niagara County Community College overcame a 16-point first-half deficit to knock off non-conference foe Lakeland CC, 84-78, in overtime Thursday night. NCCC improved to 4-2.
Freshman guard Donel Cathcart continue his strong play with 21 points, six rebounds and five assists. Sophomore guard Jamal Pollydore added 19 points and sophomore forward William Wilson had 10 points and eight rebounds. The contest was marred by 61 personal fouls.
NCCC next plays at 3 p.m. Saturday when it hosts Henry Ford College.
