NCCC drops second straight

Niagara County Community College gave up 61 second-half points as it dropped its second consecutive Western New York Athletic Conference contest - 100-88 to host Monroe Community College on Saturday. The Thunderwolves, who were ranked No. 10 in last week's NJCAA Div. II poll, are now 19-5 overall and 5-2 in conference play.

Sophomore guard Jamal Pollydore continued his torrid scoring pace with 23 points and six rebounds, while classmate Elijah Davy netted a career-high 20 points in the loss.

Next up for NCCC is a home date with Jamestown CC. Tip is set for 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
