Pollydore named All-American

Niagara County Community College sophomore guard Jamal Pollydore was named NJCAA Division II Second Team All-American recently. Pollydore is just the second player to earn the honor during head coach Bill Beilein's tenure, joining Sheldon Zablotny-Crosby (2014-15).

Pollydore averaged a team-high 16.2 points per game on 47 percent shooting. The sharp-shooter also connected on 43 percent of his 3-pointers and 81 percent of his free throws. He finished with 3.5 rebounds and 1.7 assists per contest.

Pollydore was named Region III Player of the Year and Region III Division II First Team. He led the Thunderwolves to a 25-7 record, a Region III Division II championship and their first trip to the NJCAA Division II National Tournament since 1979.
