Cathcart named All-American

Niagara County Community College sophomore guard Donel Cathcart was named an NJCAA Division II 2nd team All-American on Tuesday. This is the third NCCC player to garner those honors under the watch of ninth-year head coach Bill Beilein (Sheldon Zablotny-Crosby, 2013-14 & Jamal Pollydore, 2016-17).

Cathcart, who eclipsed 1,000 career points and was named to the Region III Division II first team, finished the year with 639 points for a 20.6 per-game average. He also pulled down 8.5 rebounds and dished out 2.8 assists per night.

The NCAA Division I Youngstown State-commit led the Thunderwolves to a two-year record of 46-17 and the school's first Region III championship since 1979.
