NCCC drops road game at FLCC

Niagara County Community College got off to an ice cold start en route to an 88-82 setback at Finger Lakes Community College on Tuesday night. The Thunderwolves (2-4) shot just 24 percent from the field, including 17 percent from 3-point range, in the opening 20 minutes.

Sophomore Laterrance Reed led NCCC with 27 points, but it wasn't enough to match FLCC point guard Keon Dunbar, who finished with a game-high 35. Also for NCCC, sophomore Donel Cathcart had 15 points and nine rebounds and freshman Rubben Kasongo finished with nine points and seven rebounds in 13 minutes of play off the bench.

Next up for NCCC is a trip to Western New York Athletic Conference foe Jamestown CC. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
