Thunderwolves race past JCC

Breaking away from a tie game at halftime, Niagara County Community College rolled past host Jamestown Community College, 100-81, in Region III action Wednesday night. The Thunderwolves improved to 18-9 overall and 7-6 in conference play, while JCC dropped to 6-17, 0-13.

Sophomore Donel Cathcart finished with a game-high 20 points, leaving him just 15 points shy of 1,000 for his career. He also had nine rebounds. Freshman Najee Scott continued his strong play of late, scoring 19 points. Sophomore Laterrance Reed added 16 points, 10 boards and five assists.

NCCC closes out the home portion of its schedule at 3 p.m. Saturday when it hosts Mercyhurst North East.
