Camara earns first team nod; Beilein is COY

Niagara County Community College sophomore Fode Camara was recently selected to the Region III Division II first team following a vote by the region's coaches. The 6-foot-6 wing led NCCC with 13.8 points and 8.0 rebounds per game. He also averaged 3.2 assists and 1.5 steals for the Thunderwolves, who are currently 24-8 heading into this weekend's District Tournament.

Classmates Sincere Ramsahai and Najee Scott were both second-team selections. Ramsahai, who is known as a lockdown defender throughout the region, averaged 7.5 points, 2.5 assists and 2.4 rebounds per night. Scott, meanwhile, led the T-Wolves with 56 made 3-pointers on his way to 10.3 points per game. He also corralled 3.7 rebounds and dished out 1.9 assists in each outing.

NCCC head coach Bill Beilein was named Co-Coach of the Year, sharing the award with Erie Community College's Alex Nwora. It is the third time Beilein has earned the honor (2011-12, 2016-17, 2018-19) during his tenure with the Thunderwolves.
