Thunderwolves' season ends at Nationals

Niagara County Community College finished 1-2 at this past week's NJCAA Div. II Tournament in Danville, Illinois. The ninth-seeded Thunderwolves, District II champions, finished the year at 27-10 overall and made their second National Tournament appearance in the past three seasons.

Niagara CCC 73, Wake Tech CC 61

Sophomore Fode Camara led a parade of 12 different scorers with 11 points in the opening-round victory. Camara also had nine rebounds and five assists. Classmate Christian Nodine had 10 points and five boards and freshman David Petit-Homme added nine points and seven boards off the bench.

Kirkwood CC 80, Niagara CCC 65

Sophomore Sincere Ramsahai netted 18 points in a loss to the eventual National Champions. Camara added a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds for NCCC, which shot just 32 percent from the field.

Milwaukee Area TC 76, Niagara CCC 73

Freshman William Kondrat scored 15 points in the season-ending setback. Nodine had 11 points and 12 rebounds and freshman Nigel Scantlebury chipped in with 10 points and three steals for the T-Wolves, who were plagued by 28 turnovers.
