NCCC splits to end first semester

Niagara County Community College split a pair of hotly-contested NJCAA Div. II non-conference games as part of the annual Thunderwolves Classic this past weekend. The T-Wolves, who finished the first semester with a 12-3 mark, are next in action at 3 p.m. Jan. 5 at Lakeland Community College.

Niagara CCC 80, Henry Ford College 67

Sophomore Fode Camara had 17 points and nine rebounds as the Thunderwolves pulled away in the final five minutes. Classmate Daunte Watson added 15 points off the bench, sophomore Sincere Ramsahai had 12 points and freshman William Kondrat finished with 11 points and seven boards.

Lakeland CC 99, Niagara CCC 93 (OT)

Sophomore Christian Nodine recorded 17 points and nine rebounds, but it wasn't enough as NCCC dropped a tight contest in overtime. Camara had 15 points, six rebounds and five assists, sophomore Najee Scott netted 11 points and Watson scored 10 points.
