Thunderwolves improve to 9-0

Niagara County Community College returned from Thanksgiving break to the tune of an emphatic 89-61 non-conference win at Corning Community College this past Wednesday. The Thunderwolves, ranked No. 5 in the latest NJCAA Div. II poll, are now 9-0 overall.

Sophomore sharp shooter Nate Luckman scored a team-high 18 points on 7-of-11 shooting. Classmate William Kondrat stuffed the stat sheet with 17 points, six rebounds and four steals, while second-year center Elijah Powell chipped in with 14 points and five boards off the bench. Sophomore point guard Nigel Scantlebury had eight of the team's 21 assists in the win.

Next up for NCCC is this weekend's annual Genesee Community College Cougar Holiday Classic. The T-Wolves will face No. 3 Schoolcraft College at 5 p.m. Saturday.
