The Thunderwolves fell to 10-1 overall, but dropped just one spot to No. 6 in the latest NJCAA Div. II rankings. NCCC returns to action at 7 p.m. Saturday vs. Hostos Community College as part of the annual Thunderwolves Classic.

Sophomore point guard Nigel Scantlebury was the only NCCC player in double figures (11 points, five rebounds) as the Thunderwolves squandered a late lead in a battle of nationally-ranked squads. Classmate Hunter Anderson finished with nine points, 12 rebounds, three assists and three steals in the setback, which saw both teams shoot around 30 percent from the field.
