NCCC picks up road win at Monroe

Niagara County Community College put together a sound defensive effort en route to a 73-58 Region III road victory at Monroe Community College on Wednesday night. The Thunderwolves, ranked No. 13 in the latest NJCAA Div. II poll, are now 19-3 overall and 3-0 in regional play.

Sophomore forward David Petit-Homme had a team-high 17 points, including five made 3-pointers. He also had 11 rebounds. Sophomore point guard Nigel Scantlebury netted 14 points and fellow backcourt member Hunter Anderson finished with 10 points, six boards and five assists. 

Next up for the T-Wolves is a home tilt with rival Genesee Community College. Tip-off is slated for 3 p.m. Saturday.
