Thunderwolves sweep Maryland road trip

Niagara County Community College picked up a pair of road wins against MD JUCO opponents this past weekend. The Thunderwolves, who shot up to No. 11 in the latest NJCAA Div. II rankings, are now 7-0 overall. Next up is a non-conference tilt at Finger Lakes Community College. Tip is set for 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Niagara CCC 90, Allegany College of Maryland 81

Sophomore David Petit-Homme had 22 points, five rebounds and three blocks as the T-Wolves beat the NJCAA Div. I Trojans for the second time in 12 days. Classmate William Kondrat added 20 points and five boards, sophomore point guard Nigel Scantlebury recorded 15 points and five assists and second-year players Nate Luckman and Hunter Anderson scored 14 each.

Niagara CCC 96, Frederick CC 77

The T-Wolves raced out to a 17-point halftime lead and never looked back as Petit-Homme again led the way with 18 points. Anderson scored 16, Scantlebury had 14, Kondrat put in 12, Luckman netted 11 and sophomore Marcellus Cooper chipped in with 10. NCCC hit a season-best 18 3-pointers in the victory.
