T-Wolves can 12 treys in win

Niagara County Community College turned a one-point halftime deficit into a convincing 87-73 Region III victory over visiting Mohawk Valley Community College on Tuesday night. The Thunderwolves, ranked No. 9 in the newest NJCAA Div. II poll, are now 14-2 overall.

Sophomore point guard Nigel Scantlebury continued his strong play of late with 25 points, seven assists and six rebounds. Classmate William Kondrat had 19 points and 11 boards, sophomore David Petit-Homme finished with 16 points and freshman Jack Capen scored 14 off the bench. NCCC made 12 3-pointersw in the victory.

Next up for NCCC is a pair of games at the annual Monroe College MLK Classic. The T-Wolves play the host Mustangs at 4 p.m. Saturday and then Union County Community College at 2 p.m. Sunday.
