NCCC comes out strong in second half

Niagara County Community College used a 57-point second half to break open a tie game and earn a 95-64 road win at Corning Community College on Tuesday night. The Thunderwolves, ranked No. 3 in the NJCAA Div. II preseason poll, improved to 3-0 on the year.

NCCC had six players in double figures led by sophomore guard Julian Cunningham, who finished with 15 points and five rebounds. Freshman guard Jalen Duff added 14 points and four assists and classmate Jamyier Patton stuffed the stat sheet with 12 points, six boards and five assists.

The freshman trio of Navary Sandy, Bobby Beilein and Jimmie Green each netted 10 points in the victory.

The T-Wolves return to the court at 7 p.m. Friday for the first of three games at the annual Personal Best Tip-Off Classic hosted by Allegany College of Maryland.
