Thunderwolves fall twice over weekend

After winning its first two games of the year, Niagara County Community College has now lost 11 straight after a pair of road setbacks this past weekend. The Thunderwolves are 2-11 on the year with just three games remaining. Next up is a home tilt with regional foe Finger Lakes CC. Kickoff is set for 5 p.m. Wednesday.

Mercyhurst North East 3, Niagara CCC 2

Trailing 2-0 at the half, the T-Wolves tied the game in the second half with goals from freshmen Nick Schultz and Austin Sauer. It was Schultz' first career goal. Classmate Jacob Owczarzak was credited with assists on both tallies. The Saints' Jaheed Loblack was too much, though, as he scored his third goal of the game with two minutes remaining in regulation.

Erie CC 4, Niagara CCC 0

The Thunderwolves were out-shot 21-4 and fell behind 3-0 at the half. Sophomore goalkeeper Evan Rarick finished with 11 saves in the loss.
