T-Wolves upended by TC3

Niagara County Community College fell behind quickly and could not recover as it dropped a 6-2 Region III contest against visiting Tompkins-Cortland CC on Wednesday. It was the third consecutive setback for the Thunderwolves, who drop to 2-3 both overall and in regional play.

Migell Ormsby scored twice for the Panthers, who led 5-0 at the half and held a 19-9 advantage in shots on goal. The Panthers were carded five times, but NCCC could not take advantage until late in the game.

Sophomore Grayson Dolata scored his team-leading third goal of the year in the 54th minute off a touch pass from freshman Josh Van Buren, who was making his season debut. Sophomore Jack Manzella scored four minutes later for the host T-Wolves.

Next up for NCCC is a trip to Cayuga CC. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m. Saturday.
