NCCC shut out by Panthers

Niagara County Community College suffered a second consecutive setback on Wednesday, falling 6-0 at the hands of host Tompkin-Cortland Community College in Region III action. NCCC is now 1-3 overall and 1-2 in regional play. TC3 improved to 4-1, 4-0.

Sophomore goalkeeper Josh Westphal made 19 saves for the the Thunderwolves, who were out-shot 28-6. Adam Nichols recorded a hat trick for the Panthers, who scored three goals in each half.

Next up for the the T-Wolves is a home tilt with perennially-strong Cayuga CC. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m. Saturday.
