Men's booters battle, but remain winless

Niagara County Community College fought for 180 minutes, but came out on the wrong end of a pair of Region III home contests this past weekend. The Thunderwolves dropped to 0-5-1 overall and 0-5-0 in regional play. Next up is a WNYAC game at NJCAA Div. I Monroe Community College. Kickoff is set for 5 p.m. Wednesday.

Fulton-Montgomery CC 4, Niagara CCC 0

Sophomore midfielder Solomon Bonane registered a pair of shots and freshman goalkeeper Eric Garcia made four saves in the loss. NCCC was out-shot 16-4.

Jefferson CC 3, Niagara CCC 1

Sophomore defender Jacob Korte drilled a penalty kick to pull the T-Wolves within one late in the first half. A potential game-tying PK just a few minutes later hit the crossbar. N-Trip freshman goalie Landan Rees had five saves.
