Palistrant named 1st team All-Region

Niagara County Community College sophomore shortstop Kelsi Palistrant was recently named to the Region III Division III first team following a vote of regional coaches. Palistrant is the first NCCC player to earn first-team honors since Wendy Schutz-Thompson (2001).

Palistrant finished this past season with a team-best .440 batting average, 48 hits, 13 doubles, 10 home runs, 41 RBIs and an .835 slugging percentage. The two-year team captain led NCCC to its first postseason appearance since 2013 and its highest ever regional seed (No. 6). The two-time team MVP concluded her career with 90 hits, 16 home runs, 74 RBIs and 63 runs scored.
