NCCC competes in Spring Games

For the second consecutive season, Niagara County Community College competed in the PFX Spring Games in Clermont, Florida. Unfortunately, the Thunderwolves weren't able to break into the win column while being tasked with a schedule that included all scholarship-level schools.

South Suburban 9, Niagara CCC 3

Sam Jurczak had a hit, an RBI and a run scored in the loss. Bree Chambers went the distance, striking out four.

Mott CC 12, Niagara CCC 4 

Vicki Waugaman and Tempestt Torres each had two hits, including a double, and an RBI. Ana Bryer was 3-for-4 with a pair of stolen bases.

St. Clair CCC 4, Niagara CCC 2 (8 inn.)

Chambers went all eight innings and allowed just three hits and two earned runs to go with 10 Ks. Nicole Human had an RBI and scored a run.

Anderson JV 7, Niagara CCC 3

Waugaman tossed a complete game and allowed just five hits and two earned runs. She finished with seven strikeouts. Sydney Parker and Nicole Human had two hits each. Ana Bryer stole three bases.

Bethel JV 7, Niagara CCC 2

Sam Jurczak was 2-for-2 with an RBI and run scored. Chambers allowed just three earned runs in a complete-game effort.

South Suburban 6, Niagara CCC 4

Chambers gave up just four hits and three earned runs in defeat. She also had an RBI triple. Sydney Parker added two hits.

Iowa Lakes 13, Niagara CCC 1

Waugaman had a hit and scored the lone NCCC run. Alicia Farrell was hit-by-pitch twice and credited with an RBI.

Triton JC 9, Niagara CCC 7

Torres ripped a grand slam, but the T-Wolves squandered a late lead. Waugaman had an RBI and scored twice.

Dakota CTC 6, Niagara CCC 3

Miranda Forti and Jurczak had a hit and scored a run. Waugaman went five innings and allowed just three earned runs.

Triton JC 9, Niagara CCC 0 

Jurczak had a double - one of only three NCCC hits.

Highland CC 6, Niagara CCC 0

Waugaman tossed a complete game with six strikeouts and just four earned runs allowed. Bryer had a single and stole a base.

Benedictine JV 12, Niagara CCC 4

Jurczak was 2-for-2 with a double and two RBIs. Tanner Baron and Nikki Loughrey each added two hits and an RBI.

Triton JC 11, Niagara CCC 7

Melanie Sweeney threw all seven innings and struck out seven. Erica Justinger was 3-for-4 with a double and three RBIs. Baron added two hits, including a double, and an RBI.
