Thunderwolves roll past rival ECC

Niagara County Community College went on the road and banged out 15 hits on its way to a 15-0 five-inning victory over local Region III rival Erie Community College on Thursday. The Thunderwolves are now 11-12 overall and 7-2 in regional play.

NCCC sophomore Sydney Sexton was 3-for-4 with a home run, double and three RBIs in the win. Classmate Maggiemay Murrins was also 3-for-4 with three RBIs and three runs scored and freshman Samantha Steindel finished 2-for-3 with a team-high four RBIs. 

Also for N-Trip, sophomore Sydnie Luckman went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and the second-year outfield tandem of Mariah Semple and Mackenzie Gozdziak added two hits and an RBI apiece. Freshman pitchers Leah Bailey and Emma Rozborski combined on a two-hit shutout.

The T-Wolves return to the diamond at 1 p.m. Saturday for a road doubleheader vs. Jefferson Community College.
