Host SUNY Niagara had just two hits as it dropped a doubleheader to Region III rival Jefferson Community College on Saturday afternoon. The Thunderwolves are now 0-12 overall and 0-12 in regional play. Sunday's doubleheader vs. Mohawk Valley Community was washed out, which means SUNY Niagara returns to the diamond at 3 p.m. Tuesday for a pair of games vs. Finger Lakes Community College.
Jefferson CC 26, SUNY Niagara 1 (5 inn.)
Sophomore Alexis Ridley clubbed a solo home run - the first round-tripper of her career. Freshman Rylee VanNostrand had the T-Wolves' other hit.
Jefferson CC 20, SUNY Niagara 2 (5 inn.)
SUNY Niagara drew 10 walks, but did not record a hit. Freshmen Kaylee Hassler and Morgan Szpilewski scored the team's only runs.
