Gillespie, Hopkins, Fedrick named All-Region

Niagara County Community College was represented on the annual All-Region III Division II team by sophomores Alliyah Gillespie and Taliyah Hopkins and freshman Diamond Fedrick. Gillespie and Hopkins were first-team selections, while Fedrick was on the third team.

Gillespie made the first team for the second consecutive season after averaging 14.1 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.5 steals per game. Hopkins, who was a second-team honoree last year, averaged 13.8 points, 6.0 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.9 steals per contest. Fedrick averaged 7.6 points and 5.0 boards per night.

The Thunderwolves finished with a record of 26-5 overall and were Region III Division II runners up for the second consecutive season.
