NCCC uses second-half surge vs. SUNY Broome

Niagara County Community College used a strong second half to sweep past SUNY Broome, 84-38, in non-conference action Wednesday night. NCCC out-scored the host Hornets 48-14 after intermission. The Thunderwolves, ranked No. 18 in the latest NJCAA Div. II poll, are now 10-0 on the season.

Sophomore guard Alliyah Gillespie led NCCC with 14 points on four 3-pointers. Second-year wing Taliyah Hopkins and freshman center Diamond Fedrick each finished with 12 points and five rebounds, while sophomore guard Jenna Faulkner hit three 3-pointers on her way to 11 points. NCCC also had a 50-20 edge on the glass.

Next up for NCCC is a pair of games this weekend at the annual Genesee CC Cougar Classic.
