Niagara County Community College battled foul trouble throughout, but came away with a 73-70 road win at Erie CC in Western New York Athletic Conference action on Wednesday night. NCCC, ranked No. 18 in the latest NJCAA Div. II poll, improved to 20-2 overall and 4-1 in conference play. It is the fourth consecutive season with 20 or more wins for the T-Wolves.
Sophomore guard Jenna Faulkner led the way with 16 points off the bench. She was 6-for-6 from the field, including four 3-pointers. Classmate Alliyah Gillespie added 15 points, six rebounds and three steals, while Taliyah Hopkins added 12 points and seven boards.
Next up for NCCC is a road trip to the New York City area. The Thunderwolves play at 6 p.m. Friday at Nassau CC, followed by a 1 p.m. Saturday trip to Monroe College.
