T-Wolves pull away from FLCC late

Niagara County Community College used a big effort from its bench to pull away from visiting Finger Lakes CC in non-conference action Tuesday night. The Thunderwolves improve to 3-0 overall.

Freshman Neraelyn Trueheart logged 28 minutes off the bench, finishing with a game-high 26 points, including five 3-pointers. Classmate Nina Starkweather added nine points, 10 rebounds and four blocks and sophomore Peyton Butts had nine points, nine boards and five assists. Sophomore guard Taliyah Hopkins netted 18 points with nine coming in the decisive fourth quarter.

Next up for NCCC is a home matchup with Cuyahoga CC at 5:30 p.m. Friday.
