T-Wolves tripped up by Tribunes

Niagara County Community College struggled to score the ball in an 80-54 Western New York Athletic Conference loss to host Monroe CC on Saturday afternoon. The Thunderwolves, who received votes in the latest NJCAA Div. II poll, shot a season-low 28 percent and made just 1 of 11 3-point attempts. NCCC is now 22-4 overall and 5-2 in conference play, while the No. 9 Tribunes are 19-3 and 7-0.

Sophomore guard Alliyah Gillespie and freshman guard Deja Johnson were the only NCCC players in double figures with 11 and 10 points respectively. The T-Wolves had 26 turnovers in the loss.

Next up for NCCC is a home date with Jamestown CC at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.
