Thunderwolves top unbeaten Potomac St.

Niagara County Community College started each half strong en route to a 99-50 non-conference win over previously-unbeaten Potomac State College on Saturday afternoon. NCCC led 26-8 after the opening quarter and out-scored the visiting Catamounts, 28-6, in the third period. The Thunderwolves are now 6-0 on the season.

Sophomore guard Peyton Butts led the offense with 14 points, incuding three 3-pointers. Classmate Jenna Faulkner notched 12 points and five rebounds off the bench. Freshman center Alexis Brown had nine points and 10 rebounds and sophomore guard Emily Benes recorded nine points and nine boards. The Thunderwolves held a 69-38 advantage on the glass.

Next up for NCCC is this weekend's second annual Thunderwolves Tournament. CCBC Dundalk and Villa Maria will square off at 5:30 p.m. Saturday followed by the host T-Wolves against Jackson College.
