Niagara County Community College out-scored rival Erie Community College 24-6 over the final 10 minutes to earn a hard-fought 71-59 Region III win on Wednesday night. The Thunderwolves improved to 14-8 overall and 6-3 in Western New York Athletic Conference play, while the visiting Kats dropped to 6-13, 3-6.
NCCC sophomore center Diamond Fedrick continued her strong play, finishing with a game-high 27 points and 10 rebounds. Freshman guard Shilah Parker added 17 points, 15 rebounds, six steals and three assists, while sophomore guard Neraelyn Trueheart had 14 points, eight steals and seven boards.
The T-Wolves are next in action at 1 p.m. Saturday when they travel to conference rival Mercyhurst North East.
