Niagara County Community College got back to the .500 mark with an 82-69 Region III victory at Genesee Community College on Wednesday night. The Thunderwolves are now 2-2 overall and 1-1 in Western New York Athletic Conference play.

After both teams got off to a slow start, NCCC built a 20-point lead in the third quarter. The host Cougars, though, cut the deficit to just seven with five minutes remaining. NCCC freshman forward Shania Clark then entered the game and scored three key baskets to put the game away. She finished with 11 points in the win.

Sophomore center Diamond Fedrick had a team-high 17 points, while former high school teammate Madison Sullivan scored a career-high 16 points. Sophomore guard Shyana McLeod filled the stat sheet with nine points, 10 rebounds and five assists.

Next up for the T-Wolves is this weekend's David K. Martin Classic hosted by Garrett College. The first game of the event is slated for 2 p.m. Friday vs. Potomac State College.
