NCCC dropped by top-ranked Tribunes

Niagara County Community College shot less than 30 percent from the field as it dropped an 86-50 Region III home contest to Monroe Community College, the nation's top-ranked team, on Wednesday night. NCCC fell to 15-9 overall and 7-4 in regional play, while MCC improved to 22-1, 11-0.

NCCC freshman guard Kendra Lawton finished with 19 points and 10 rebounds, while sophomore center Diamond Fedrick added 12 points. Freshman center Alicia Farrell had a career-high six points and five rebounds in 14 minutes of play.

Next up for the Thunderwolves is a trip to Genesee Community College. Tip-off is set for 1 p.m. Saturday.
